Eye on Tree

Another shot from last night Eye On Malaysia Opening ceremony, fireworks just above my head. I think that tree branch make a great silhouette and that fireworks makes a great background. It was raining actually and I use that tree as a shelter for me and most importantly my camera from getting wet.

Fireworks light up the "Eye on Malaysia" Ferris wheel and Petronas Twin Towers in the background at a lake garden in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The 60-metre 'Eye on Malaysia', similar to the 'London Eye' was launched by Prime Minister Abdullah Ahmad Badawi in-conjunction of the Visit Malaysia Year 2007 tourism campaign. Once again I went back to Titiwangsa Lake Garden to take another shot. Very difficult to get a good position actually because so many photographers are there. Most of them wants to make a Petronas Twin Tower as their background.

I took a picture of myself, not entirely though, while waiting patiently before boarding that red bus back to Kuala Lumpur during my recent trip to Kuala Terengganu with my wife. The journey back to Kuala Lumpur took almost eight hours. Kuala Terengganu is 491 km from K. Lumpur. Terengganu is one of the three east coast states on Peninsular Malaysia. It has a land area of 12,995 square kilometres and 225 kilometres of picturesque coastline. Kuala Terengganu, its capital, stands on the bank of the Terengganu river.

After a long holiday break, it was time for me to get back to work. My first day at work this year actually. On my way to work, I kept passing this Petronas Twin Tower building which at one time was the tallest building in the world.

Digital Camera Magazine, Malaysia's most popular photography magazine is out now. Found it at Borders Bookstore at Berjaya Times Square.
Busy streetlight near Berjaya Times Square Bukit Bintang Kuala Lumpur on the eve of the New Year. It was packed with tens of thousands of revellers for the New Year street party.
